Jbel Lakraa summit
HardThe highest peak of the western Rif, through forests of the rare Moroccan fir, with vast views on clear days.
Jbel Lakraa is the roof of Talassemtane park. The trail runs through Moroccan fir forest, a tree that grows naturally only in these mountains, then opens onto pastures and limestone up to the summit.
This trail needs good fitness and a full day. In winter snow covers the summit, so we adapt the route or postpone it depending on the weather.
